What are the fault diagnosis and maintenance of overhead crane?

Time : 2024-10-21

The fault diagnosis and maintenance of overhead crane mainly include the following aspects:

1.Electrical fault: The electrical system of overhead crane is an important part of it. Common electrical faults include cable aging, poor contact, motor overload, etc. For these faults, first check whether the cable is damaged. If damaged, it needs to be replaced in time; secondly, check whether the contactor and relay are working properly. If there is a problem, they need to be repaired or replaced; in addition, check whether the load of the motor exceeds the rated load. If it exceeds, the load needs to be reduced or the motor needs to be replaced.

2.Mechanical fault: The mechanical part of the overhead crane is also prone to failure. Common mechanical faults include gear wear, bearing damage, brake failure, etc. For these faults, first check and clean the mechanical parts. If the gear is found to be severely worn, it needs to be replaced; secondly, check whether the bearing is working properly. If there is a problem, it needs to be lubricated or replaced; in addition, check whether the brake is flexible and reliable. If it fails, it needs to be repaired or replaced.

3.Operation problem: Operation problem is also one of the important reasons for the failure of overhead crane. For example, if there is a sudden power outage during operation, all controller handles should be turned back to zero; the driver should not leave the cab until the hoisted object falls; before resuming work, check whether the crane is operating normally.

4.Maintenance: In order to ensure the normal operation and service life of the overhead crane, regular maintenance is required. For example, check the brakes, hooks, wire ropes, etc., test the main and auxiliary hook winch limiters, and if the performance is abnormal, it should be eliminated before operation.

5.Safety issues: The overhead crane is a heavy equipment with certain safety risks. Therefore, the operator needs to strictly abide by the safety operating procedures to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

For the fault diagnosis and maintenance of the overhead crane, many measures need to be taken, including electrical, mechanical, operation, maintenance and safety. At the same time, it is also necessary to strengthen the training and management of operators to improve their skills and experience levels.
